Top Christian clerics led by President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Reverend Felix Omobude, will commit the affairs of Nigeria into the hands of God to lift the country out of the current economic recession.
The prayers will be held at a one week convention with the theme, “Reigning in Life” that will take place at the headquarters of New Covenant Gospel Church, Benin City.
A statement signed by Dr. Omobude said social-political issues affecting the well-being of Nigerians are some of the issues to be tackled in prayers.
The statement listed notable speakers at the seven days prayers to include immediate past President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, Bishop Mike Okonkwo, Simeon Okah, Dr. Enock Setima, Dr. Reggies Wenyinka and Apostle Lawrence Achudume.
Omobude said special prayers will be offered to God to help Nigeria overcome her pressing needs and problems particularly the challenges of economic recession, terrorism, violent crimes, kidnapping, corruption and other vices.
According to the statement, “It is our expectation that Nigerians in particular and Nigeria as a whole will witness the Mighty visitation of God during and after the convention as issues bothering on the welfare and safety of this nation as well as her progress and development will be handled in prayers.
“There shall be a harvest of miracles, signs and wonders. We have God’s assurance that the lame shall walk, the blind shall see, the deaf shall hear and the captive set free. There shall be healing galore for all manners of people and the church will be strengthened,” Dr. Omobude added.
