A pub girl has been reportedly stabbed to death at Sugarcane hotel on Gold Coast road in Sabon Gari area of Kano state, The Nation reports.
The incident which occurred between 5.30 and 6pm on Monday, June 20, was between the girl and her boyfriend who was said to have arrived the hotel premises with another man on a motorbike.
Sources say as soon as they got off the motorcycle, one of the men walked straight into the room of the girl (who had reportedly just returned from Dubai) as the accomplice waited beside the motorbike within the premises of the hotel but unknown to them, workers in the hotel had started taking note of their suspicious movements.
When the hotel workers discovered that the other man refused to return from his visit to the girl after 20 minutes, one of them reportedly opened the room forcefully as the girl was persistently crying.
And on entering, the hotel worker informed that the girl was in a pool of her blood after being stabbed by her assailant who was said to be standing beside the girl’s body.
The girl’s intestines were said to have gushed out of her body after the incident as she was seen on the floor, writhing in serious pains.
The suspect who immediately sensed serious danger, tried to escape but he was caught promptly and beaten silly but his accomplice had fled the scene, leaving his motorbike which was subsequently set ablaze.
The suspect was only saved from being killed by some police officers from Nomansland station, who got to the hotel after the sad incident.
But they were said to have quickly started investigations, this was however, not before they dispersed the crowd, arrested the suspect and moved the body of the deceased to their office.
And the hotel had been sealed off already since the incident but the spokesperson of the Kano state police command, DSP Musa Magaji Majiya, denied having received any such report.
He however, promised to speak with the journalist who reached out to him as soon as he gets a wind of the incident.
Recently, reports surfaced online of the gruesome murder of Ambassador S S Yusuf, a former Nigerian High Commissioner to South Africa.
He was said to have been murdered in his apartment in the early hours of Monday, June 13 and was reportedly thrown out through the balcony of his apartment.
Daily Sun reports that the former ambassador was murdered by four assailants who broke into his house in Zone 6 District of Abuja.
According to an eyewitness who gave his name as Oche, Yusuf was thrown out from the third floor of the apartment through the balcony.
